Security Bank & Trust Co. is proud to partner with the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines (FHLB) to award a $40,000 grant to New Pathways, a nonprofit organization based in Cambridge, Minnesota. The grant combines a $10,000 donation from Security Bank & Trust Co. with a $30,000 match through the FHLB Member Impact Fund.

This partnership reflects our shared commitment to building stronger communities by supporting organizations that are making a tangible difference. New Pathways has a long-standing reputation for helping families and individuals facing homelessness find safety, stability, and the resources they need to move forward.

Empowering Local Solutions Through Strong Partnerships

New Pathways provides shelter, transitional housing, and supportive services to those experiencing housing insecurity across Central Minnesota. Their approach combines short-term emergency support with long-term case management, helping people rebuild their lives with dignity and purpose. By supporting their work, this funding will help expand program capacity, sustain essential services, and ensure families can access safe and stable housing.

The grant was made possible through the FHLB Des Moines Member Impact Fund, a program that helps community banks and credit unions amplify their support of nonprofit organizations. By matching member donations, the FHLB enables financial institutions like ours to make a greater impact on the local nonprofits we care about most.

Our Commitment to Community Development

At Security Bank & Trust Co., we view banking as a relationship—one rooted in trust, shared values, and long-term community investment. Whether it’s supporting affordable housing, advancing local business development, or giving back through charitable partnerships, we’re dedicated to being a resource our communities can count on.

This award to New Pathways is one example of how we’re working alongside partners to strengthen the neighborhoods we serve. We’re honored to support the mission of New Pathways and the families whose lives will be touched by this grant.
