Security Bank & Trust Co. is seeking a detail-oriented, analytical portfolio manager to take ownership of fiduciary trust account portfolios and serve as a strong communicator and team member. You will manage investments across personal trust, estate, IRA, agency, and custody accounts, research markets and securities, and partner with trust administrators to deliver strategic insight and meet each client's objectives. The ideal candidate brings advanced skills in financial analysis, market research, and investment modeling, applied within a fiduciary standard of care.
Responsibilities:
- Manage account portfolios to each client's investment policy, objectives, and risk tolerance
- Monitor asset allocation relative to policy and goals
- Research securities, markets, and economic trends on an ongoing basis
- Manage fixed income maturities and reinvestment
- Build and review investment performance and activity reports for accuracy
- Monitor and implement investment models; execute trades to meet account objectives
- Monitor cash needs and deadlines to avoid account overdrafts
- Draft investment memos for the investment team
- Complete annual investment reviews and monthly investment reports
- Coordinate investment communication with trust administrators and their clients, and attend client meetings
- Ensure portfolios comply with governing documents, investment guidelines, the Prudent Investor standard, and applicable fiduciary regulations
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA, CFA, or CTFA preferred
- 3-5 years of portfolio management experience; trust or fiduciary experience preferred
Qualifications:
- Strong written, verbal, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, staff, and management
- Outstanding organization and the ability to manage multiple priorities accurately
- Ability to translate financial concepts into plain language for clients
- Capable of applying economic theory and research to daily portfolio decisions
- Sound judgment and composure under deadline pressure
- Effective in a team environment and adaptable to change
