Accessibility Statement
Banking should work for everyone in our communities. We build and maintain security-banks.com so that customers who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or captions can do their banking here the same as anyone else.
Tell us when something does not work
If any page, form, or document on this site is difficult or impossible for you to use, we want to know. You do not need to know why it is happening or what to call it. Describe what you were trying to do and what got in the way, and we will look into it.
- By phone: 320-864-3171, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
- By message: use our contact form, available any time. Include the page address if you have it, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive technology you were using.
- In person: tell any banker at one of our 21 Minnesota locations. It reaches the same place.
Our commitment
We work toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium. Those guidelines are the common reference for how a website should behave for people with visual, hearing, motor, and cognitive disabilities.
Our site is built on code that follows W3C standards for HTML and CSS. We use best practices and industry standards as we build and update pages, and we review accessibility as part of maintaining the site.
We will be straightforward with you about the limits. Our web content changes often, and some of it comes from third-party providers whose systems we do not control, including online banking, bill pay, and account opening. Some content is a work in progress toward our accessibility goals. There is no way to test that every part of a site this size is fully accessible to every user in every situation, which is why the report channel above matters as much as the standard does.
Settings that may help right now
Before you change anything on our end, your own browser and device already carry accessibility tools that work across every website you visit. These are the ones customers ask about most.
Make text larger
Most browsers zoom in and out with a keyboard shortcut. Hold Ctrl on Windows, or Command on a Mac, and press + to increase or - to decrease. Press 0 with the same key to return to normal size. Your browser and phone settings also let you set a larger default text size for every site.
Magnify part of the screen
Windows includes Magnifier, and macOS includes Zoom under accessibility settings. Both enlarge a portion of the screen without changing the page.
Change colors and contrast
If text is hard to read against the background, your operating system can override site colors for every page you visit. Windows offers contrast themes and a dark mode, and macOS offers Increase Contrast and Invert Colors. Browsers add their own font and color preferences on top of that.
Have pages read aloud
Every major platform ships a screen reader at no cost. Narrator is built into Windows, VoiceOver is built into Mac, iPhone, and iPad, and TalkBack is built into Android. Many people also use third-party screen readers such as NVDA or JAWS, and our pages are built to work with them.
Make the pointer easier to see
The size, color, and thickness of the mouse pointer can be adjusted in your system settings, and you can turn on a trail or a highlight that appears when you press a key. The platform guides at the bottom of this page cover how.
Using a keyboard instead of a mouse
Every part of this site should be reachable with a keyboard alone. These commands work in current browsers.
| To do this | Press |
|---|---|
| Move forward through links and controls | Tab |
| Move backward through links and controls | Shift + Tab |
| Follow a link or press a button | Enter, or Spacebar on a button |
| Select and clear a checkbox | Spacebar |
| Move between radio buttons | Arrow keys |
| Open a dropdown list | Alt + Down Arrow |
| Scroll up or down one screen | Page Up, Page Down |
| Jump to the top or bottom of a page | Ctrl + Home, Ctrl + End |
| Go back or forward a page | Alt + Left Arrow, Alt + Right Arrow |
| Move to the address bar | Alt + D, or Command + L on a Mac |
| Refresh the page | F5, or Command + R on a Mac |
If you reach a point on this site where the keyboard stops working, or you cannot tell where you are on the page, that is a defect on our end. Please tell us where it happened.
Transcripts and captions
A transcript is the written version of what is said and heard in an audio or video recording, including meaningful sounds that are not speech. Captions are that same text shown on screen while the video plays, so the content is available to people who are deaf or hard of hearing, and to anyone who cannot turn the sound on.
Where we publish video, look for the CC button in the player controls to turn captions on. Some videos display captions automatically. If you find a video on our site without captions or a transcript, let us know and we will get it corrected.

Questions
A bank that says it is local has to be usable by everyone who lives here. If this site is getting in your way, that is our problem to solve, and we would rather hear about it than not. Call 320-864-3171 or send us a message.
This statement describes how we approach accessibility on security-banks.com. It is not a certification of conformance. Some functions on this site are provided by third parties, including online and mobile banking, and their accessibility is governed by those providers. Page last reviewed July 2026.
