Security Bank & Trust Company is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Compliance Manager to assist in the oversight of the Bank’s Compliance Program. The Compliance Manager will guide the Bank in establishing and maintaining effective controls to manage compliance risks. They are responsible for providing compliance support, communication, and interpretation of rules and regulations to Bank staff as well as researching regulatory issues as they arise. They will conduct ongoing monitoring, complete risk assessments, and advise the Bank of emerging compliance matters. The Compliance Manager will also be responsible for the oversight of our Identity Theft Red Flags program.

Responsibilities:
- Provides advice and guidance to Bank staff regarding compliance issues by researching and answering any compliance questions.
- Evaluates the legal and regulatory environment pertaining to the Bank, including current consumer issues and judicial decisions that may affect the Bank.
- Assists with effectively communicating compliance management program updates including the impact of changes in laws and regulations (new or existing).
- Conducts ongoing compliance monitoring including the collection, analysis, and interpretation of information to detect weaknesses or instances of non-compliance.
- Assists with the development and maintenance of written policies, procedures, and guidelines necessary to support the Bank’s compliance program. Assists with disseminating Bank policies and procedures necessary to ensure risk is managed and compliance requirements are met.
- Helps develop, implement, and maintain an on-going compliance training program to ensure that the Board and all other Bank employees receive adequate and job-specific training.
- Ensures that all issues from exams and audits are addressed in a timely manner. Ensures that corrective actions were effective at preventing future instances of non-compliance or at mitigating the identified risk.
- Assists in coordinating Federal and State regulatory exams as well as audits conducted by external parties.
- Oversees and manages the ID Theft Red Flags Program, which includes completing an annual Red Flags Risk Assessment and preparing an annual report summarizing the status of the Bank’s program.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; or equivalent experience within the compliance realm of the banking industry.
Qualifications:
- Experience with consumer compliance within the banking industry (e.g., Truth in Lending, Truth in Savings, Reg. E, and so on).
- Exceptional judgment, attention to detail, and research skills.
- Proven communication, time management, and organization skills.
