Ryan Miller, Daniel Sedin shine as Canucks blank Blue Jackets

Columbus, OH, United States (4E Sports) - Ryan Miller tallied his third shutout of the season with 33 saves as the Vancouver Canucks recorded their first road shutout of the year with a 3-0 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets Wednesday at Nationwide Arena.

Daniel Sedin recorded a goal and an assist while Loui Eriksson and Jayson Megna also scored as the Canucks improved to 24-24-6.

Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 21 of the 24 shots for the Blue Jackets, who slipped to 34-14-5 after losing the opener of a seven-game homestand .

Sedin put the Canucks ahead 44 seconds into the second period with his 12th goal of the season.

Megna added a third goal 10:47 into the third. He received a pass from Troy Stecher at the top of zone, skated past Ryan Murray and beat Bobrovsky on the glove side for a 3-0 advantage.
